Hi
I am curious...do you also invest in shares? Either as a buy and hold startegy or as a trading strategy?
If you don't is it simply because you don't know enough, or, is it because you remain focused on property alone?
To start things off, I do invest in shares. I trade in and out of Australian shares as an additional income stream.
Would you care to share your thoughts, too?
Thanks

Hi Dale, good to see you (so to speak) once again.
We don't invest in shares. This is mainly because I find the stock market a little intimidating. I don't understand shares, so realise that to try my hand would be more of a gamble than I am willing to take. Would love to learn though, so if you have some ideas that would help a total newbie, I would be more than willing to listen.

I also don't have a lot of experience with direct shares however I was holding a fairly substantial amount in managed funds that took a whacking when the GFC hit. Have also invested in LPT's and LIC's like AFI and Argo.
Sold out of the majority of my holdings to look at property again, still hold a bit of mgd funds.

Marty

Hi
Like everyone else, the GFC hurt us. However, it also created opportunities and along with our education, it was instrumental in us changing our strategies and operations. One area where we changed our strategies was in our share trading and after much trial, we settled on help from this fellow:

If you do not know very much about shares, this fellow, is a huge help and will help you make money and teach you at the same time.
I can also recommend Dale Gillham of Wealth Within if you really want to learn a lot in a structured learning environment.
