NEGOTIATE YOUR PROPERTY PRICE AFTER IT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED

A lot of people think that you can’t negotiate your property price once the contract has been signed — this is not the case.

It is possible to renegotiate your purchasing price up until the day of settlement.

USING THE COOLING OFF PERIOD.

The contract enters into a cooling off period after it has been signed. This is when it goes to the solicitor and our clients organise the pest and building report to be completed.

Sometimes the P&B report comes back with some problems.

This is when we try to get a price reduction on your accepted offer.

Even a couple of grand off the price can help our clients purchase their next property quicker.

DELAYING SETTLEMENT.

There are also different ways to delay settlement. This can be useful if you are planning to negotiate a price reduction.

HAVING THE RIGHT PEOPLE ON BOARD.

Having a good negotiator on board can help to make sure you get the best possible price. We continue negotiating after the contract has been signed about 80 to 90 percent of the times we buy properties for our clients.

This is one of the ways we are able to buy below market value time and time again.

Remember – a good negotiator never says die.
