The main mantra of B.Invested is to ‘escape the matrix and live life on your own terms’.

There have been key moments in b Invested founder Nathan Birch’s life that have reminded him how much of a matrix we live in.

First, there’s the 12 years of indoctrination through school, which prepare you to fit into the system once you’re an adult.

Then it’s the job, the 40 years of work, the white picket fence, the mortgage, the spouse, then the kids which you send back to school to start the whole process over again.

Then there’s the media and the social conditioning of people’s thoughts and minds.

Levels of slave

When Nathan looks back to the working class life he was in before he figured out how to escape it all, he is struck by the different levels of slave class that are evident.

At the bottom are the poor people that don’t have enough money. They might have a very nice family and family life, but they don’t have enough money. And in order to get enough money, they need to go out and work so much that they don’t get to spend any time with their family.

They are taught that money equals success and happiness. And there are markers along the way that show your wealth and status, like the types of clothes you wear and the type of car you drive.

What’s with the cars?

You look at new Rolls Royces or Lamborghinis these days and they can cost more than $1 million. If someone is on an average wage it might take them 20 years of working to afford one, and that’s if they don’t eat food or have a roof over their head.

But really, they are bits of metal that you use to get places. No different than a $15,000 car, except for the status.

Nathan says once upon a time he believed filling his garage with expensive cars was what success looks like.

But he soon realised that the most valuable thing to strive towards was having the ability to do what he wanted, when he wanted and live life on his terms.

Cracking the matrix

Once you understand that the matrix is a fake world, just like Keanu Reeves’ character in the Matrix movies, that is where you can find freedom.

People spend their whole lives chasing money. They will do all sorts of terrible things to get it. But money doesn’t exist. It’s not real.

Realise that and you can begin looking at how you can take control of the system and get it working for you. You can figure out how to take control of your life inside the matrix.
